Diakonia is largely government funded (via Swedish aid giant SIDA). A recent push to galvanize broad-based private support has prompted a slight shift in outlook, with clearer focus on results.
Creation
We created a subsidiary brand under the Diakonia umbrella – People Change The World – to reach out to private donors. The design clearly communicates change and goal-orientation, not least thanks to the “progress bar” which is an integral part of the logo. To spark interest, we designed a web site that provides real-time up-dates on your project of choice.

Activation
People Change The World was launched in June, 2017. Since its inception, more than a thousand private donors have generously contributed to three specific projects – in Bangladesh, Kenya and Lebanon. The result? Even greater scope for Diakonia to help where it really matters.
